Methamphetamine and sleep

Cracks in the Ice and National Centre for Clinical Research on Emerging Drugs (NCCRED) presented a webinar on Methamphetamine and Sleep on November 23rd 2023 (12pm-1pm, AEDT). This webinar  provided attendees with information about:

  • An overview of sleep and how methamphetamine interacts with sleep
  • Short term and long term impacts of methamphetamine use on sleep
  • What happens to your sleep when you stop methamphetamine
  • How clinicians and people who use methamphetamine can approach sleep issues

This information is relevant to clinicians, researchers, people who use methamphetamine and affected friends and family

This webinar was presented by Liam Acheson, Research Officer at St Vincent’s Hospital Sydney Alcohol and Drug Service and PhD Candidate at the National Centre for Clinical Research on Emerging Drugs (NCCRED) and the National Drug and Alcohol Research Centre (NDARC) and Prof Nadine Ezard, Clinical Director, St Vincent’s Hospital Sydney Alcohol and Drug Service, Director of NCCRED and Professor at NDARC, UNSW.
